Why We Love Her

She’s a brilliant Graphic Designer! She along with her husband of 16 years are raising two very brilliant children. She also runs a puppet show business in her spare time.

She embodies the Love’s Gumbo affirmation:
Love and life are what you make them, so I am going to make them work for me!

What She Can Teach Us

How to be a loyal and supportive wife throughout the ups and downs of marriage. How to successfully communicate and negotiate win-win situations within a marriage.

Where to Find Her
Who’s in My Jungle

In Her own Words

I’m a wife of 16 years, a mother of two wonderful children (11 and 8 years old) and sister of two cool brothers. I work full-time as a Publication’s Supervisor and own a side business for children’s entertainment. I’m 40 years old and enjoy every day of life. I’m originally from Memphis, TN with an Architectural Engineering degree but moved to Atlanta to pursue an artistic development direction. I’ve been in Atlanta for 19 years, where I met my best friend and husband. I first met my husband at Dugan’s Bar and Grill (Ponce de Leon) on a Friday night 19 years ago. That night was a night that neither of us will ever forget. We’ve told our family, friends and children about our encounter over and again because it was like a movie. Boy meets girl, girl stares at boy, boy asks for girl hand, girl leaves with boy, boy is a complete gentlemen and girl falls in love. That night has always kept us together. When there are arguments and/or disagreements between the two us, we think about that Friday night and forget any disagreements afterwards. Since my husband and I met with love at first sight, we have raised our family with a strong belief of LOVE. So many teachers, church advisors, and summer directors that have come in contact with our children have always informed my husband and me that they can see the love in our children. Our children are highly respected by their peers. In our daughter’s first year of middle school was voted as the Most Outstanding Sixth Grader. She is very smart and has received other high honors. Our son is a true sports fanatic, and he is highly intelligent. One of his teachers once told us that he thinks like a lawyer, he’s very detailed.

Since living in Atlanta I have met so many different and special friends in my life. These friends have shown me how to live beyond what I see in front of me. I thank GOD for these special friends. All of my friends are very special in their different ways. With these differences, I learn from them continuously, which allows me to grow richer from life. Currently, I’m writing another script for my company “Who’s In My Jungle?” that teaches children how to love their surroundings and not what they see on TV. My feelings are that if we show others how to love, we can receive more love in life than hatred. I surround myself around people that are positive. With positive vibes, these vibes will attract more of the same.
